The Eurovision 2026 semi-finals provided an eventful night with notable performances and surprising advancements. While not in contention for points, the UK's entrant, Look Mum No Computer, also known as Sam Battle, made his debut performance with 'Eins, Zwei, Drei'. Despite predictions of zero points, the UK alongside France, as part of the Big Five, have already secured their spots for the Grand Final. However, Spain has opted out in protest of Israel's participation this year.

As the semis progressed, one of the standout moments was the advancement of Antigoni Buxton, a former Love Island contestant representing Cyprus. Antigoni, along with Neighbours alum Delta Goodrem who sings for Australia, has managed to capture the audience’s attention and move forward to compete in Saturday’s Eurovision Grand Final in Vienna.

Austria, as host of Eurovision this year, secured an automatic place in the final. Concurrently, other intriguing performances came from Acts like Norway's entry, Malta's history-making performance in Maltese, and a visually delightful presentation by Latvia.

Unfortunately, for several other contestants, the journey ended here. The acts eliminated before the Grand Final include entries from countries like Portugal, Georgia, and Estonia, amongst others.

Looking ahead, the top contenders according to bookmakers for the Grand Final include Finland’s duo Linda Lampenius and Pete Parkkonen with their song 'Liekinheitin', followed by Greece's Akylas and Australia’s Delta Goodrem, all of whom share a significant chance of taking home the win.

Meanwhile, the UK’s Look Mum No Computer remains optimistic despite being ranked 21st. Sam Battle has been vocal about his underdog status, expressing that British audiences might need a more positive outlook. Reflecting on his journey, he remarked, “People need to bloomin' smile once in a while.”

As fans gear up for a thrilling finale, Antigoni Buxton’s participation adds a familiar face for Love Island fans to rally behind, while other acts continue to prepare for what promises to be an electrifying end to this year’s Eurovision contest.
